Fort Langley Canoe Club
Fort Langley Canoe Club welcomes you to our sport of paddling kayaks and canoes on the Fraser River from our base in Fort Langley.

The club offers drop-in sessions for various types of paddling, on payment of a $10 fee which covers the loan of necessary equipment and insurance. Our aims with these “drop-in” sessions are to enable you to try the activity, meet the members & determine which paddling discipline you prefer. Then, we hope you will wish to join the club, explore this website and read the monthly members’ newsletter.
Here is what one new member recently wrote to us:
“My wife and I recently started paddling with a Dragon Boat team at FLCC. Like many middle aged couples our interests are usually in different directions and since my wife doesn’t ask to join me for golf or I to join her for the book club or pilates this was a chance to try something together. We soon found that we were both enjoying the other like-thinking couples and singles as well as the physical component of the sport. We also found that this was not a purely social endeavor but a serious group that trained hard and had fun at the same time, exactly what we were looking for. The team has a very good coach that puts us through a tough session twice a week. We will compete in 5 regattas this season – we hear they are lots of fun, so we are looking forward to some good competition and some laughs along the way.”
It is important to pre-register for all sessions as the number of spaces is limited.
Courses and Programs
FLCC operates a wide range of classes and programs for paddlers of all ages and ability, using several types of kayak, to enable a progressive development of skills.
Our primary base is the Fort Langley Rowing and Paddling Centre.
