The City of Langley is Giving the Gift of Health this Holiday Season

Langley, BC – The Holiday Season is starting early this year as the City of Langley will be handing out special stocking stuffers to attendees at the Magic of Christmas Parade. A special early gift, which includes one day of free access to the new Timms Recreation Centre, opening this February.

“This is a magical time of year,” says City of Langley Mayor, Ted Schaffer. “This holiday season we want to celebrate with everyone by giving the gift of health with a special stocking stuffer that offers one free day at the new Timms Community Centre when it opens. To me, it’s a wonderful opportunity to share a special Holiday gift that people will be able to enjoy themselves or give to a loved one.”

The new Timms Community Centre will offer exciting new amenities, including a gymnasium, running/walking track, weight room, spin room, games room and multipurpose rooms. The grand opening for Timms will be taking place on February 24th between 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Many of Langley City’s accredited fitness staff will also be on hand to guide you through the proper use of the equipment and weights at Timms and will also give you some tips on how to get the most effective use out of them.

“We invite everyone to join us at the Magic of Christmas Parade and get your free pass this Saturday,” says Mayor Schaffer. “We know everyone will love what the new Timms Community Centre has to offer, and can’t wait for people to open this “gift” with us.”
